Peacock Site 1A Tailings Reservoir (Cypress River Basin)

Peacock Site 1A Tailings Reservoir is located about two miles northeast of township of Lone Star in Morris County, on Tr-Peacock Creek, a tributary of Ellison Creek which is a tributary of Cypress Bayou.  The reservoir is owned and operated by the Lone Star Steel Company for industrial purposes.  The earth-fill dam with a length of 2,030 feet was completed in 1983. The reservoir may store 11,248 acre-feet of water.
