The two-day workshop will comprise five thematic sessions, covering topics including water-related challenges and the evolving role of FIRO, FIRO initiatives at the national level and in the State of Texas, predictability of impactful hydrometeorological events pertaining to reservoir operations, R&D activities at NOAA and partners helping to close the forecast-action gap, and user needs at the regional level. The workshop will serve as a platform for stakeholders to voice needs and contribute perspectives to shape FIRO investigations and potential adoption. Registration is open until November 11.
