Develop Procedures and Tools to Delineate Areas Designated or Used for Class II Well Wastewater Injectate

Project Summary:

The objective is to develop technically defensible mapping procedures and tools to improve and refine the existing default 15-mile buffer distance applied to Class II injections wells. The TWDB will form a technical advisory workgroup consisting of federal and state agencies and stakeholders that will be engaged throughout the study to build scientific consensus on appropriate buffers.
