"Deep in the Heart" Photo Campaign June 1 - 30, 2022

What's deep in your heart when you think of Texas water? Every Texan has a unique story or connection to water. What's yours?

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and Texas Water Foundation's statewide water campaign, Texas Runs on Water (TROW), are teaming up to highlight the state's unique water features and inspire Texans to draw a deeper connection to the water that keeps our state running. Together, we're launching a social media photo campaign and need your support.

We invite Texans to share photos on Instagram that represent your personal connection to Texas water. Maybe it's a fond memory of a trip to the coast, a scenic view of our lakes, rivers, or springs, or a tubing trip with friends. The sky's the limit. We encourage photos from the past and present.

Each photo entry will enter you into a random drawing for fun prizes. Our goal for this campaign is to inspire all Texans to appreciate the water that keeps our state running.

To enter:

  1. Submit your Texas water photo on Instagram and tag #MyTexasWater
  2. Follow @waterfortexas and @texasrunsonwater on Instagram
  3. Mention the location and tag both Instagram pages

Photos must be properly tagged for entry. The campaign begins June 1 and runs through June 30, 2022. A total of three Instagram participants will be selected at random after the campaign ends to receive a swag bag. Prizes may include TWDB and TROW promo materials/other items determined by the host organizations. Winners will be notified and announced on Instagram July 1.
