AUSTIN – (September 5, 2019) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $865,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Cameron County Irrigation District No. 6 (Cameron County). The District will use the assistance to finance planning, design, and construction costs associated with improvements to its raw water delivery system.

The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
