AUSTIN – (June 21, 2018) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $14,426,400, consisting of a $4,330,000 loan and $10,096,400 in loan forgiveness, from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to Kerr County. The County will use the assistance to finance a wastewater system project.

In addition to the loan forgiveness, the County could save approximately $1.2 million by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

The project will bring first-time wastewater service to Center Point and surrounding areas in eastern Kerr County. The assistance approved today will be used to finance the second phase of this project.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
