AUSTIN – (April 16, 2018) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $5,490,900, consisting of a $2,775,000 loan and $2,715,900 in loan forgiveness, from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the G-M Water Supply Corporation (Sabine and San Augustine counties). With the assistance approved today, the Corporation will make improvements at a groundwater treatment plant that was recently purchased from the City of Pineland. The Corporation will also construct ground storage tanks and new distribution lines and make other improvements at its facilities. In addition, the Corporation will upgrade its existing water conservation plan.

The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
