Texas Water Development Board approves a $535,216 loan to the New Ulm Water Supply Corporation to finance water system improvements

AUSTIN - (January 31, 2013) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution a loan in the amount of $535,216 to the New Ulm Water Supply Corporation (Austin and Colorado Counties) from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to finance water system improvements.
The New Ulm Water Supply Corporation intends to use the funds to replace approximately 12,400 linear feet of deteriorating and undersized distribution water lines to address water loss issues.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
