Texas Water Development Board approves a $1,730,000 loan to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Van Alstyne (Grayson County) to finance wastewater system improvements

AUSTIN - (November 21, 2013) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution a loan in the amount of $1,730,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Van Alstyne (Grayson County) from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to finance wastewater system improvements.
The Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of City of Van Alstyne intends to use the funds to finance the replacement of collection lines and rehabilitation of wastewater treatment facilities.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
