Texas Water Development Board approves a $121,825 loan to the Valley Water Supply Corporation to finance water system improvements

AUSTIN - (January 31, 2013) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution a loan in the amount of $121,825 to the Valley Water Supply Corporation (Dickens County) from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to finance water system improvements.

The Valley Water Supply Corporation intends to use the funds to replace existing old and deteriorated water distribution system piping in an effort to address the high water loss within the system.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
