2nd Public Comment Period: Clean Water & Drinking Water State Revolving Funds Draft Intended Use Plans9/12/2022 at 8:00 AM
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is holding a follow-up period of public review and comment before approving and adopting the draft State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2023 State Revolving Fund (SRF) Intended Use Plans (IUPs). Based on review and consideration of public comments received during the initial comment period, the TWDB is proposing revised draft IUPs with a maximum amount (“cap”) of $10 million on principal forgiveness that may be committed to a project under the SFY 2023 IUP from all funding options. In addition, the project priority lists reflect any proposed change in the score of projects and overall ranking as a result of comments received.
These IUPs cover funding for “general activities” only from the annual federal appropriations and the supplemental funding available under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Supplemental funding from the IIJA for emerging contaminants in both programs and for lead service line replacements under the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund program are not covered under these proposed IUPs. The TWDB will provide additional informational on those sources of IIJA funding in the future.
