Far West Texas Climate Change Conference

Far West Texas Climate Change Conference logo

The Far West Texas Climate Change Conference, hosted by the TWDB in coordination with the Far West Texas Regional Water Planning Group, was convened on June 17, 2008 in El Paso, Texas. The purpose of the conference was to review the possible impact of climate change on surface water supplies from the portion of the Rio Grande subject to the Rio Grande Compact and facilitate discussions between the presenters and stakeholders. Presentation abstracts are included in the conference program, and a report on the conference was delivered to the Texas Legislature December 2008 and is available below.
