Texas Water Development Board approves a $1,185,000 loan to the City of Ingram (Kerr County) to finance wastewater system improvements

AUSTIN - (December 5, 2013) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution a loan in the amount of $1,185,000 to the City of Ingram (Kerr County) from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to finance wastewater system improvements. This is one of five projects approved by the board this month that is designated a rural water project.

The City of Ingram intends to use the funds to finance the installation of new gravity sewer lines in the central and eastern portions of the city.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
