Texas Water Development Board approves a $1,250,000 loan to the Deerhaven Water Control and Improvement District (Llano County) to finance water system improvements

AUSTIN - (October 17, 2013) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution a loan in the amount of $1,250,000 to the Deerhaven Water Control and Improvement District (Llano County) from the Texas Water Development Fund to finance water system improvements.
The Deerhaven Water Control and Improvement District intends to use the funds to finance the replacement of portions of the existing water distribution system to increase pressure and provide fire flow capacity.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
