Texas Water Development Board approves a $340,000 loan to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Ector (Fannin County) to finance water system improvements

AUSTIN - (July 18, 2013) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution a loan in the amount of $340,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the City of Ector (Fannin County) from the Texas Water Development Fund to finance water system improvements.

The City of Ector intends to use the funds to address issues with its elevated and ground storage tanks.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
