Texas Water Development Board approves a $2,503,816 loan to North San Saba Water Supply Corporation (San Saba County) to finance water system improvements

AUSTIN - (February 28, 2013) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution a loan in the amount of $2,503,816 to North San Saba Water Supply Corporation (San Saba County) consisting of a loan in the amount of $335,000 and $2,168,816 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to finance water system improvements.

The North San Saba Water Supply Corporation intends to use the funds to construct two pump stations and two storage tanks and replace 6.5 miles of transmission line to convey water purchased through the corporation's existing interconnection with the City of San Saba.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
