Texas Water Development Board approves a $7,500,000 loan to the Bitter Creek Water Supply Corporation (Nolan and Fisher Counties) to finance water system improvements

AUSTIN - (February 28, 2013) - The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution a loan in the amount of $7,500,000 to the Bitter Creek Water Supply Corporation (Nolan and Fisher Counties) from the Rural Water Assistance Fund to finance water system improvements.
The Bitter Creek Water Supply Corporation intends to use the funds to address water loss issues in its existing distribution system.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
