Upflow Calcite Contactor Design

Project Summary:

Permeate produced during desalination of brackish groundwater by reverse osmosis is corrosive in nature. One option to stabilize this permeate is to pass it through calcite contactors. This study will develop a design criteria for using upflow calcite contactors in the desalination process.
