Intro to Base Level Engineering
Base Level Engineering (BLE) is a mapping and modeling approach that aims to provide credible flood hazard data at various geographic scales. BLE data is meant to complement the current effective Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and can be used as best-available information for areas with a lack of flood hazard data. This webinar will inform floodplain administrators, engineers, community members, and other stakeholders about BLE, various BLE products, and the intended use and benefits for floodplain management and regulatory reporting.
Participants can receive 2 continuing education credits through the Texas Floodplain Management Association after attending this webinar.
